In 1962 the company changed its name to Mutual of Omaha. It is best known for sponsoring the popular television show Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. The headquarter of the company is in Omaha, Nebraska.

Through the years, the company grew from a small regional insurer to a large national financial services organization that offers a broad portfolio of individual and group products.
